Update 2010-06-04: When I poke around online, I'm seeing another translation of the title - The World That Was Transparent. I would have to agree that this is a more accurate translation because the past tense is captured. I didn't go with it in my own translation because I thought it sounded verbose. Still, I should acknowledge that I sacrificed accuracy for simplicity there.
